Work Nears Completion on The Tavern in Old Salem

Wilson-Covington has completed interior and exterior repairs for The Tavern in Old Salem, a new restaurant in the Historic District that is set to open mid-July. This work has included a complete renovation of the bar area to accommodate modern equipment and provide ample working space for bartenders while keeping the 19th century look of a tavern, complete with sliding bars that would have secured the spirits from overnight guests. Other work has focused on the kitchen and service areas. Wilson-Covington is experienced in restaurant work and maintains a relationship with the Health Department and Building Inspections that allows this process to flow smoothly for the owner and restauranteur.
